We are on 19th Butterfly with 3 more chrysalis' to go. There is also one extremely hungry caterpillar who hasn't decided to form in the J-Shape just yet.The BIGGEST surprise is we had a very tiny Chrysalis which emerged into a tiny butterfly just slightly larger than a quarter. What else makes this butterfly special is it is completely black and white, missing the bright orange colors, but still identical wing pattern as the others.
We are so curious about this butterfly, we called the Zoo to speak to an Lepidopterist (A person who studies butterflies and moths) and he is getting back to us shortly with some answers!
We miss you!
